I couldn't believe it when I got the following text from Annie! Going to prom with friends is SO much fun! I was so excited for her! ... and not just for prom, ... this year Annie has finally found found friend group that she really "fits" with! YAY! Has been my constant prayer for her (and for Leia as well) from the beginning of high school. Annie wanted to shop with friends, and so when she texted me the pictures of the dresses, I wrote back, "The red one. The red one! GET THE RED ONE!" And she did! WHAT A BEAUTY!

We also filmed, out of sequence, a virtual reality version of Palm Sunday where we waved palm branches!  This was actually done the very first week of filming that I could not attend. It was so special to be a part of this! I felt like my father, who had died just 2 weeks earlier made this possible! Another prize possession: a tiny piece of one of those palms!

I haven't decided how to immortalize these yet, but I know I want something attached to my Rosary, and some under glass, possibly with a Season 5 poster. We shall see.

Filming The Chosen Season 5 : Lunch (to escape.the Extras Tent) , Photo Ops with the Pharisees (Yani) & Jarius + other Extras

THIS was where we ate lunch each day (when it wasn't too cold). Can you believe the Utah mountain backdrop!?!

Our lunch outside (they provided all 3 meals, by the way) was mostly to escape the experience of.this next picture:

Still, on those days, there were opportunities to take pictures with the lesser actors and to meet other extras. 

Here is Simon the Zealot (Z) Thaddeus, Nathaniel & John coming to visit us one day and thank us for our participation.

Another day, Yani  Who plays one of the pharisees came table to take pictures.

 And still another day the guy who played Jarius, the one whose daughter is raised from the dead, went table to table as well.

One day we met a few Mormon sisters and had good conversation. And at that same table was Olivia:

That same day we met Olivia, who came all 3 weeks from Germany!  She would also be featured in the teaser trailer saying that she was just so glad to be a part of this!

We met some fellow Catholics complete with Rosaries, and some other extras who were giving out tiny Jesus figures because "A little Jesus goes a long way."

 I would keep this little guy in my wallet for a long time after!

Filming The Chosen Season 5 : Jonathan Roumie Prepares with Script, Prayer, Water Bottle & Stand In

It just so happens that I caught a livestream that Jonathan Roumie did at the same time we were filming! He happened to hold up his script of the longest scene in chosen history that we were filming as well as his water bottle that I definitely noticed as well!

This man has amazing Catholic faith! He said that this water bottle was a gift from a fan, and I noticed many of the stickers on it while we were filming. In this shot you can definitely see the symbol of Mary as well as the immaculate heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of jesus.

Before each take Jonathan wood Genuflect and pray finishing with the sign of the cross. As I noticed him doing this, I joined him in prayer and praying the sign of the cross as well . It was so beautifully unifying! Sometimes he would kneel and draw the catholic fish or the PX which is the Chi Rio in the sand. I was absolutely floored by Jonathan's Catholic faith and became an even bigger fan of him as a result.

 Further, the scene was full of tension as he was yelling at the pharisees as hypocrites. To prepare for being angry he would yell an exclamation, usually "Auugggh!" ...  Or he would walk up to them and scream something in an angry tone to get ready.

Then we would hear what we heard for all 3 days which was the following phrase: "Background!... aaannnndd ACTION!"  If you watch the Live stream clip at the link below you can clearly hear It at The End of the season 5 filming clip.

 There was also a stand in that replaced Jonathan when filming was not imminent so they could get the scene ready. His name is escaping me at the moment, but many of us just called him Jesus 2.
