My sweet babies have grown into beautiful women! This is their story (& mine as well). My blog exists in honor of the late Karin Faulkner who taught me how. Enjoy the journey through Leia's & Annie's youth.
Why Brian allows this, I'll never know. But one of Annie's favorite things to do these days, especially when Daddy hosts "running games" before bedtime on the weekends, but sometimes even in the family room, ... is called "Annie Boosh." It involves Brian curling up in the fetal position while Annie jumps from a couch or bed directly onto Brian with her knees. And this is fun, ... why? ; )
Grandma came to help Mamma as she recovered from her double hand-surgeries (due to severe carpal tunnel syndrome), and so the girls shared some wonderful tea parties with Grandma during these special days. They also got to perform their VERY late Valentine for Grandma: "Sisters." Leia Rose even created a very special restaurant named The Cat's Meow. (See her sign for more information.) : )
Annie's expression when she saw the bunny in her basket: Priceless! : ) Oh, it was SO hard for me to get that picture of Annie with her basket all together, ... before bunny (later named "Caramel Apple" would take a ride on the hammock outside! As for Leia highlights, she was SUCH a good big sister explaining how to play the Easter egg game, she got a big kick out of the Easter bunny's carrot mosaic for Ollie, and she loved the Easter bunny's traditional egg-behind-the-toilet (as you can see). Then it was off to Mass, ... where the presentation of the Tabernacle actually took my breath away. And finally, to Oma's "Bunny Trail" ... and even special Calico Critters from Great Grandma Betty!
