Kitty's Nesting Box & A Healing Through Saint Francis
In preparation for our rabbit, kitty's pending birth, so we thought, the girls painted a beautiful nesting box for her. In the meantime, kitty broke her paw. BOTH of the girls cried very hard, as we watched her paw flop back and forth. I asked the girls to pray to saint francis, & they all said the Saint francis prayer. Make me a channel of your peace. Have never seen Annie pray so hard. The next morning, even the secretary of the vet's office was commenting on kitties broken paw. As I took her into the vet office, the school children, unbeknownst to me, all of the school children were praying today at that moment. It was then that the vet called me in, looked at Kitty's paw, and pronounced her healed! It was an amazing miracle! Unfortunately, though, kitty has something called Vestibular Disease. Which is something like vertigo for bunnies. It means she probably chooses not to have children. So, the nesting box may just be an ornament. But we're very happy to have our sweet sweet Kitty as a pet! Thank you Saint Francis!

Leia's "Thank You" for the Peacemaking Retreat
Leia Rose had a really wonderful retreat where the retreat coordinator talked all about peacemaking in regards to covered bridges. Leia decided to personally thank her by painting a picture showing two children of two nationalities holding a covered bridge as peace between them. Leia even did the research for the symbol for peace and love in the Chinese language! The woman was so touched, that she framed the picture and put it in the retreat house!

Leia's Jane Goodall Historical Day Project Takes 3rd Place
... Leia did absolutely FABULOUS today! The presentation was followed up by a "defense." During which the judges asked Leia to go on to regionals. Her answer was, "Nope. Too stressful. Maybe if I was more excited about the topic." Lol That's our Leia. :-) What follows is Kimber as the French Impressionist (2nd place) and Quentin as Ronald Regan (1st place).
