With all of his stripes washed off from many washings, puff is still Leia's favorite stuffed animal. It still makes me smile thinking about the silly song I made up and sang to Leia at bedtime to the tune of Puff the Magic Dragon. "Puff the Magic tiger lives by the tree and frolics in in the Autumn Mist with a toucan called PeePeePee."
... Working with AIDS Patients
One day I went to confession with Father Roberto, and I saw this beautiful picture sitting on his shelf. I asked him about it. Father Roberto said it was his very favorite AIDS patient that he nursed until death. This particular man was often very grumpy and would run away from the center anytime he could! Father Roberto always took it in good humor, and one day had to chase him down the sidewalk. When he brought him back, he lay down with him and let his patient soak up the sun. That is when the picture was taken. Such a beautiful example of Christ-like love, father Roberto! Thank you for blessing Our Lives!
... and Annie's "wow" Valentine's, featuring a bouquet of heart lollipops and flarp slime. For herself, Annie really wanted chocolate covered strawberries.
The assignment this year was for the children to write a story about a personal experience during World War 1. Annie wrote her story through the perspective of a mouse who became friends with a soldier.
