Visiting the Carolina Inn & Antiquity Exhibit in Chapel Hill 2020
I HAD to take this picture! This is the hallway in the Carolina Inn that we used to frequent when we still lived there many years ago. It was the scene of many jumping hugs! This time I learned that if you stay in the old rooms at the Carolina and, they are very very small! So small there is hardly any room to walk! At least there was a window to open with a pretty view. We also visited a museum exhibit with many antiquities from Egypt as well as featuring the colors of Asia, which was very pertinent to Shana who is teaching children in China!

New Year Trip to the Renovated Lake House
While most years we visit grandma and grandpa at the town house in Newberry, this year was a little bit different. For New Year's, we went to see the newly renovated lake house! The 1st thing you will notice is the porch and all the hallways are so much longer! Because they added so many feet to the right hand side of the house! Then as you travel through the house you will see new granite countertops in the small bathroom And the guest room is a lot smaller with the same number of beds, this is to make room for the laundry room which is excellent! But the Crown jewel of the house Is the master bedroom! This was created especially for grandma, who suffers from depression. This would make it easier for her to visit the house at any time period there is a large sliding glass door with a beautiful view of the lake right from the bedroom!
