Little Jack Horner

This morning was yet another perfect time to use Papa's cherry pitter, which makes a lovely little hole in each cherry, perfect for little fingers! Ha! We love these summer cherries, . . . and Annie found a new game to play with them. Can you guess the nursery rhyme that was repeated again and again this morning?

Little Jack Horner sat in a corner
Eating his Christmas pie
He put in his thumb and pulled out a plum
And said, "What a good boy am I!"

    ooo! I'm about to order groceries & I should get some cherries!

    (That's a downside of online ordering. I'm not always as clued in about what's in season unless I happen to just think of it myself.)
