Today the girls and I took the day to truly explore the island (with some help by suggestions from Shana). We found the beautiful Botany Bay Road where "the trees make a tunnel," the tree always mysteriously decorated by (who?) no one knows (this year it sported a tiny pink Volkswagen and declared "live slow & die old") the Old Post Office, the Serpentarium (or more specifically, the gift shop), the "swing house," Edisto Mary, and topped it all off with (of course) clam chowder at The Sea Cow! ... and at some point on a rainy day, the girls can always be found gaming with Zach & snuggling with their Serpentarium gifts: my favorite this year was Leia's plush catfish named "Mudcat." :-)
