EDISTO TURTLE BOIL 2015

For those who don't know, a turtle boil is just the term used when the turtles hatch out of eggs and come to the top of the sand to reach the ocean. We have seen a few turtles reach the ocean the first year here, but we never saw an actual boil until tonight! It is called a boil because it looks like a pot of boiling water at the top of the sand! Only red light can be used because the turtles tend to follow the moon, or any white light they see.
