... it was just lucky that Natalie and Greg were stationed in Washington DC at this time. WE GOT TO SEE THEM! (And we ALL thought I was hilarious that Baby Jesus offered Joseph a Taco. Their younger children, Justin and Joseph, joined us. My godson, Gregory, was already at Xavier University. (Note Leia's sweatshirt.)

The golden Starbucks at Trump International Hotel
... and, because Trump was president at this time, and he had just commented about how Haiti was a "shithole country," the following was projected on the hotel while we were in the Starbucks! Then it made national news while we were there!

The National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
My one request during our visit was to see the shrine. It was gorgeous! The newest Dome, the Trinity dome, made of millions of Mosaic tiles from Italy, had just opened the week before! I found out later that Pope Francis himself had blessed the Trinity Dome! My one sadness was that Shana could not come to share it with us!
