Leia & Harvest: Wilmington to Hickory, Then & Now

Leia & Harvest as we prepare their moving truck for their journey from Wilmington,  NC (where Leia graduated from UNC Wilmington in November) to Hickory NC (where Leia will begin work at Exela Pharmaceuticals, just like Daddy). And I took that picture because 6 years ago we took THIS one:
In 2020, right in the middle of Covid, moving from Pickens SC to Portland OR. OH HOW TIME FLIES! Here is.the original post:

Annie & Corey, Snowed In Together

Snow Storm 2026

We got 5 in of light fluffy snow today! It was a beautiful day to just stay inside, of course Brian decided to snuggle the snow in his underwear before it stopped snowing. :-D
Oma shoveling her driveway! 10-12 inches there!
How I spent the big snow, riding my book about covid with our cat, Bello.
... and then Bello watches the birds.

New Car : Meet Bluey

Due to our elderly needing care & those we love living far away, we had to trade in my electric Leaf for a gas powered, fuel economic car. Nissan Sentra. Missing my Leaf, ... but not the Range Anxiety.

Ice Storm 2026

Here is what a half inch of ice looks like. We were extremely lucky not to lose power! Bello really did not like the ice! He would just sit and stare outside, wondering where he would go poopie and potty. We ended up having to open the basement door so he could use the dirt under the deck.

Mamma Snuggles with Bello & a "Present"

Here is what a present looks like from our cat, a headless wren. It often happens right after I fill the bird feeder. He played with the bird until he decapitated it, then he played with the head until it was a skull. Feathers were everywhere.

Mamma's Mini-Obsession with Wicked

Recently I have really gotten into the musical Wicked, ever since we saw the second movie. I ended up buying the book and doing a full compare and contrast outline on the book versus the musical. So very interesting! I am also very impressed with the toys! Look at how much they look like the actual actors!

Dead Deer Carcass : Scared Me to Death

I was just trying to grt something out of the shed ... at night.

Happy Birthday, Daddy

Today Brian's coworkers took him out to a special Mexican restaurant, his favorite in the area, Mi Careta, and this time Annie got to go with him because now she works as an intern at Excela as well! In fact, Annie took this picture! I got Brian some special birthday gifts, but his favorite was tickets to go see Sting in May!

A Sweet Text from Annie

Brian and I are working hard on letting Annie have her independence. She respects fully asks each time she would like to visit Corey or do something with her friends or anything, but the answer is always yes from us. We trust her judgment and she is very safe and smart in decision-making!

Shana's New Love (& New 2nd Home)

I will admit that I don't have a picture of the two of them together yet, but wedding bells will ring for these two-story, I suspect. A former client of Shana's at her Butterfly Wellness practice, Gordon is a very special man! I'm so happy for her AND for getting to visit their home in Seneca often! Gordon owns a whole point on Lake Keowee, complete with boat, hot tub, and infrared sauna! Mossy is happy there, too!
