This year, I FINALLY stopped at one of the small craft shacks run by local artisans and bought myself a sweetgrass basket. Here is the artist and her materials as she holds the basket I purchased.  Sweet grasses becoming harder and harder to find, so the artisans are forced to use the brown bulrushes to ornament the baskets as well.

Although I title this post "Last Sunrise," the reality is that I REALLY say, "Hey, are you gonna come to 'a sabenya'?" Which is actually a reference to the first line of The Lion King's "Circle of Life" which is "Nants Ingonyama." Then, as the sun rises, Brian plays the song from his phone. A very special memory!
