Disney 2019 : The Polynesian

For Harvest's graduation from high school this year, we went all out and stayed at the Polynesian Village for this Disney trip. This was the most magical hotel we've ever stayed in. We had a lagoon view, which meant we could watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks right from our balcony!! (However,  the new entryway left much to be desired. What happened to the tropical waterfall and indigenous plants!?!)
Always love eating at the Kona Cafe, where Shana really wanted to try the Bloody Mary flight.
When it was time for the pool, Shana feels most comfortable in her "Birkini" which helps lessen her sensory issues with water.
Sunrise was grand over the Contemporary Hotel in the distance.
For the life of me, I cant find this original picture which breaks my heart. It's one of my favorites from this trip. And there's a story behind it:  One evening we were sitting on a bench right outside our room by the "beach" of the Polynesian. We were wondering, at first, why there were so many danger signs (see below), ... and then we started laughing (which was fairly inappropriate). Our joke was something like, "Enjoy the most magical place on earth, ... just make sure your kid isn't eaten by aligator." Uncontrollable laughter.

And here is the craft I made as a memory. It features palms and dried flowers from the grounds of the Polynesian.
