This is a VERY special picture taken from the stairs at Oma's house. It was not one I planned to take, but one I knew HAD to be taken. Because right before I took this picture, Papa looked more pensive than I've ever seen him. He was very quiet, and then looked around and suddenly said, "THIS is my legacy. THIS is my progeny." I immediately teared up,, his words were so moving. They needed no further explanation. We were all there: he and his wife (Dino and Claire), his two daughters (Noelle and April), and all of his grandchildren (Annie, Leia, William, and even Emily in the womb). I don't think dad was ever happier.
