The Passing Autumn : A Poem By Annie

The Passing Autumn

Now that it's time to welcome the fall
Let's go out and gather all

The leaves wear red, orange, yellow
It makes me feel happy and mellow

All the acorns slapped the ground
All these wonders have been found

 The mountains snuggling in colors
All the trees hugging their brothers

Bring out the pumpkins bring out the turkey
All the people joyous and perky

All trees from pine to oak
Is all align on the cheery slope

The apples clinging to the trees
Always end up on their knees

All the joys touch my finger
The mountains are happy while they linger

As all the leaves say goodbye
I sit and watch as the seasons fly

As all the animals say good night
All the children tucked in tight

 As fall closes its doors
We all miss it in our cores
