At Mission hospital for high blood sugar, here are mom & dad: evidence of true love. And mom's response to dad's question every few minutes (from now until his death): "Can you please scratch my back?" ... Amid the most beautiful view from a hospital EVER!
Then dad had a rehab stay of about 2 months at The Lodge in Mills River where he had his own room! April and I tried to make it as warm as we could for him and took mom every day. The saddest thing about this rehab visit is that we were trying to encourage Papa to do his physical therapy so that he could go home, & he replied, "Isn't this home?"
