Recently, Oma was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Luckily, there is a new drug that does all but cure the disease! In fact it completely stops any progression and starts dialing back the dementia. It is a long process to be approved for this drug which is an IV infusion every 2 weeks for the rest of the person's life. ... I should also mention that there is an mri every month as well as a neurologist appointment. Quite an intrusive treatment! But Oma was approved and doesn't have to pay a cent due to Medicare! Here she is getting her first infusion. I am happy to report that there would be no side effects and it worked like a charm!
