What I taught my girls today: LIFE is a risk. Don't let a couple (a dozen?!?) jellyfish stings keep you from doing what you love. ... So, I got my butt right back in the water and had a happy day. Also taught them that, although statistics can be manipulated, statistics say that one person in our family gets stung every other year. That's it. Pretty safe for two years, girls. But in 2018, watch out. Final teaching moment was: LISTEN to your intuition! When Annie said she could "feel" the jellyfish nearby. We got out, ... right before we SAW THEM.
