Went on an Edisto adventure today! Shana told me about the house of the very first freed slave on Edisto Island. The first picture is what it was "supposed" to look like according to the realtor selling 7666 Point Of Pines Road Edisto Island, SC 29438. The other pictures are what we found: an overgrown road, a no trespassing sign, a condemned wooden structure, and a VERY overgrown "yard." Was VERY cool and creepy. If the current owners didn't live 20 feet away in a trailer, I would have gone in there! There was a professional photographer taking photos with us as well. Why is this not a protected historic home?!?
