Leia felt like she already knew everything there was to know about Resurrection Eggs, but she was wrong! Mama created an advanced version of this game! Annie and I discussed the differences between the Gospels. For example, I included a purple Royal cloak from one gospel, while the gospel of Matthew has it as a red military cloak that they put on Jesus to mock him. One symbolizes royalty while the other symbolizes Rome. Another difference Annie and I talked about was one gospel says they put gall (vinegar) on a sponge and lifted it to Jesus lips. Matthew's gospel, which was read at Palm Sunday this year, says that it was wine mixed with gall. Both of these things would take away some pain, so Jesus refused them. One funny thing that happened was that, Annie requested me to hide them "hard." As a result, she found an egg meant for an egg hunt two years ago! It's still had wrapped jelly beans in it! Annie requests this game again and again, even at 10 years old. I am so proud of her!
