Hurricane Helene Update : Dolly's & 276 & the Blue Ridge Parkway

Our favorite ice cream spot: Dolly's was ruined by Hurricane Helene. A tree fell right down the middle.

There were mudslides all along 276 that had been cleaned for us to pass.

And when we tried to turn towards the Pisgah Inn, the road was blocked.

... this was why ... the story in many places along the Parkway.

But we were able to turn South and had a nice drive!

This would be the one time we visited the Blue Ridge Parkway this fall, as Hurricane Helene foiled our chances. As we tried to go right, towards the Pisgah Inn, this is what we saw:

And Annie got a big round of applause for being a first-time voter! We both voted for Kamala Harris, but unfortunately, she didn't win.
