In honor of the feast of our lady of Guadalupe today, I finished painting this statue! Then I took her to mass and had her blessed during the special feast day mass. This is my very favorite vision of Mary, in that every single Aztec and, consequently, every single Mexican person is Catholic because of this Vision of the blessed mother. She is SO close to my heart, and there are so many miracles associated with this image on the tilma of Juan Diego.
