Annie on the Potty!?!

For the longest time Annie would scream when I would try to let her try the potty. Well, at least now she'll sit there happily (although nothing ever seems to come out). ; )
Just look at the good big sister!!! No wonder Annie is sitting there happily!!! (By the way, I have been making double sure these days to complement Leia Rose on her sisterly skills these days. I have begun noticing that, if these were any other two children, how fights could literally break out. But Leia Rose is just SO patient with Annie! What a true blessing (for EVERYONE)!

Annie's Snuggle Sack

This is the face of a little stinker! Yes, Annie finally figured out how to take her snuggle sack off. (We've always had both Leia Rose and Annie sleep in a "snuggle sack" because they move around too much to keep covers on.) Anyway, tonight on goes the diaper pin! (The same one I used for Leia Rose and the same one OMA used on me, actually.)
Yep, they were both about the same age when they learned to do this. Ha!

Annie's Cute Sayings at 2 Yrs.

Annie says, "I Don't" when she means, "I don't know."

Annie says, "Shh, . . . Quiet!" and then runs away.

Annie calls every clock a "clue clue clock." : )

Annie either shakes her head silently or says "No fanks."

When Annie wants to know what you are doing, she'll ask, "Wha doin?"

When Annie's afraid of something, she always glances at me, sucks her thumb, and says, "Mamma here" to calm herself. : )

Annie's usual reaction to, "Oooooo, you must be Grumpy!" as my best impression of Snow White.

De-Christmasing

I know this was before Epiphany (although, does it count that the Catholic Church celebrated Epiphany this Sunday?), . . . but there was no one more excited to be done with the Christmas season this year than ME. Anyway, the girls had JUST as much fun De-Christmasing as they did Re-Christmasing!

Sleeping Guys

Well, no sooner did the bake-able clay get here than Leia Rose began her newest project: making a set of "Sleeping Guys" with Daddy. : ) This is the final result: the figures are Leia Rose and Daddy. Both of them have a bed and pillow. Leia has a pink blanket. Daddy has a fan for his listening pleasure. (Ha!) Leia Rose has a piece of bread for her "nighttime snack." (Ha!) This is the end result. What follows is the process. : )

New Games

Grandma got Leia Rose this GREAT new game called, "I Never Forget a Face" with all sorts of children from all over the world represented. It's a glorified memory game, but I LOVE the Montessori concept of it all. And amazingly enough, ALL of Leia's international friends are represented: Kevin (from Russia), Aria & Kien (from Vietnam), Yukino (from Japan), and even Sarah (a frequent visitor of Tanzania). AMAZING! Here is Leia Rose lovingly holding up the "Yukino" from the new game.

Leia Rose has also been enjoying Alpha-Bug-Soup a lot with Mamma and Daddy as well as this new violent ditty we play with Robbie the Robot:

It's called Try-To-Dodge-The-Flying-Disk-As-Mamma-Controls-Robbie-To-Shoot-It-At-You. Lots of fun. : )

Santa Returns!

Well, Santa said he was going to make a special trip to bring the new model of Robbie Robot and bakeable clay, . . . and he did! He also retrieved the Baby Jesus, the Birthday Girl statue, and his blanket. But he left the snowball in our freezer. : )
