Celebrating Annie's First Communion
You will notice that we allowed Annie to change from her heirloom dress & veil to her party dress & veil (due to comfort & ease). We welcomed Oma & Papa, Tom & Elaine & Mamaw, Shana & Harvest, Aunt Cassie & Zach & Sarah & Emma & Nancy. We opened gifts and had cake in the basement so that Mamaw could join in the fun. Among the beautiful gifts were a homemade Rosary from Leia, many relics of the True Cross from Mamma & Daddy, a first communion book and portrait of Christ from Great Grandma Betty & Grandpa Henel, a beautiful crucifix from Oma & Papa, a book about the "real" Easter Bunny & stuffed bunny "Allelujiah" from Shana, a build-a-bear bunny from Zach. Finally, we planted Annie's beautiful peach tree (From Elaine & Tom & Mamaw) to mark this special day.

Annie's First Holy Communion
It was so special to see Annie receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist in the dress fro four generations. She was nervous until she saw the BUNNY on Father Martin's vestments! :-D
Pre-Ceremony with Friends
Here is Annie with her besties: Jamie and Angelina ... as well as Gabrielle, Mrs. Okpych, Brewer, and Ethan. It was so sweet to see them, at the height of excitement, all talking together right before the ceremony. Leia is pictured with her friend Brianna.
