This is a beautiful ceremony where the first communicant is asked to bake a loaf of bread and give it to someone they don't know. The cool thing about today is that Annie chose to give the bread to someone that I knew, but that she didn't know. Olivia is someone who very seldom feels welcome at the church. She is also someone who i helped to conquer her fear of confession. Olivia was so touched by Annie's bread gift that she cried the rest of the Mass! Now she is invited to Annie's first communion celebration!
