Oh my, Leia's experience turned out to be the polar opposite of most. Leia began SO happy and excited, considering it a rite of passage & thrilled that there were no needles involved. However, once the process started, Leia realized that there was quite a lot of discomfort involved. Her lips were stretched open for 2 hours, and it was metal being glued inside of her mouth followed by a wire that had to be clipped at the 4 ends! Leia was quite ready to get out of there by the end. Then it was followed up by a few days of pain, where she truly had to take Tylenol and Advil every couple of hours. However, after the first few days, lay it took it in stride and became an avid braces wearer! :-)
