Morning Work Time at Mountain Sun & Owls at the Nature Center

This year, Annie would spend most of her morning work time doing art projects and snacking instead of doing the traditional Montessori works. Unlike Leia who ADORED things like the "pouring work" and the "pink tower," Annie would often bypass those because she didn't understand why she was doing them. I suppose they didn't produce a product. ; ) It's interesting to see the difference between my two sweet girls. ... Where I was worried about Leia leaving the Montessori environment, knowing she thrived within it (and sure enough, she had a tough transition into regular schooling), ... with Annie I'm not worried about her entering traditional schooling at all. Where she ADORES Mountain Sun, she is ready to enter a more traditional school environment. This is precisely why were are enjoying this last year at Mountain Sun, including this very special trip to learn about owls, ... we even found owl pellets!
