Today I found Annie rummaging in the pie safe for her art supplies, ... then she sat down at the little table and began working. Periodically, I would here her say, ... "A" ... "I" ... "E," etc. After watching her for quite a long time, I approached and asked her what she was doing. Annie replied, "Mamma, I'm writing my letters to Santa." Annie, knowing that Santa loves to get "letters" was writing Santa some "letters" of her own. I just love the fact that when Annie says she's going to write "letters to Santa" she literally means "letters" to Santa, ... as in "A" "I" "P" "N" and "E." She then put the letters in her stocking to be sure they made it to Santa himself.
