Edisto Friend Trip 2025 : Run, Forrest, RUN!

This year we found ourselves In Beaufort South Carolina, which happens to be the place where Forrest Gump was filmed! First we went to the place where the run-forrest-run scene was shot. It was the entrance to the Plantation where they lived in Greenbow Alabama and where the teen boys bullied Forrest.

 There was also a beautiful  Live oak at the entrance to the Plantation.

 Then we found the place where many of the Vietnam scenes were shot.

 Finally we visited the true Bubba Gump shrimp Company.

 And we saw the boat with the most beautiful name, the Jenny.

 Finally, we went to the bridge where they interviewed Forrest Gump while he was running.
