I just LOVE our new Pope! Leo XIV! ... I was so happy about this, that I cried, truly believing that my prayers were answered. Although cardinal Robert Prevost from Chicago Illinois was not a front-runner, he was chosen directly by Pope Francis to continue his legacy. He wants to open the church to everyone! And because the announcement was made in Latin confused until I saw the name in english and looked him up. The really neat thing is that, as much as I loved Pope Francis, he divided catholics further, while Leo 14th is seen as a unifier! An absolutely perfect successor to Pope Francis! Then there was also the symbol right before the white smoke appeared of the baby seagull chick: a symbol of rebirth ... As a flock of seagulls also flew over the basilica as Pope Francis was recovering.
