Even though we weren't filming, visiting Sound Stage 2 on The Chosen set was one of the most spectacular parts of this trip! They had to bus us there and the very first thing that we saw was far in the distance, the field that we shot the feeding of the 5000! We also passed by a small Park they created with the olive trees, fully grown, that were shipped from Israel and replanted outside here after they were used on Sound Stage 2 for the agony in the garden. Once that scene was shot, the trees were moved to the new park location. Then the sound stages came into view. I believe they have eight now. When we filmed the feeding of the 5000 there was only one or two that we saw in the distance at that time. They kind of look like gray circus tents. They need to be that big because they need to hold both inside and outside sets that are truly as big as whatever building they need. It was amazing to step in this space! There were random workers doing their jobs everywhere and we're happy to share even more information.
The park containing the ancient olive trees from Israel now replanted in the park for the cast and crew of the chosen. These were moved from soundstage 2 after completion of the agony in the garden scene.
