After Leia's First Communion we dined at her choice: Cracker Barrel! Leia was quite excited about the gifts. It was so interesting to see the other patrons watching Leia Rose. One leaned over and said, "You will make a beautiful bride someday!" I replied, "That is very true, but today is her First Eucharist. This is the traditional attire." Lots of wonderful gifts and expressions to observe here. A few of note are my own First Communion book when I was Leia's age (which ended up at the bottom of my purse, but still ...), a kitty from Aunt Cassie aptly named "Gracie," and a little figure of St. Anne for our little Annie. (Can you spot the picture that Annie took of Daddy? ... and the happiness when they were told they could pick out "a candy" ... the favorite part of the afternoon?)
