My sweet babies have grown into beautiful women! This is their story (& mine as well). My blog exists in honor of the late Karin Faulkner who taught me how. Enjoy the journey through Leia's & Annie's youth.

Historical Day 2011: Leia Liberty
This year's second grade had a special assignment for historical day: patriotic symbols. Leia Rose was the Statue of Liberty!!! Funny story: There's a street artist named Banksy that paints children in funny situations. One of his works shows a little girl dressed as Lady Liberty picking her nose. Leia has been known to have that vice (although not often), but when I do catch her with that finger up her nose, all I have to say now is, "Leia Liberty?!?" Ha! (She hates that!)
