Florida 2023 : The Weeki Wachee Mermaids On Shana's bucket list was definitely seeing the show with the Weeki Wachee Mermaids! I have to admit that I wasn't expecting this show to be as good as it was, but it actually blew me away! I was so incredibly amazed and astounded and impressed! Even Elvis Presley came to see these mermaids who were performing here even before Disney world opened! It takes so much training to become a mermaid! They work by using air tubes to breathe into periodically. They would swim and dance and even eat underwater. I was so astounded that I had to take a picture of our faces while we were watching the show.
