Mountain Farm with Sarah

Oh, here is an experience that Leia Rose was SO sad she missed: Mountain Farm with Sarah McDowell! Sarah has been talking to me about Mountain Farm since I first met her at Artgarden. Sarah's in-laws have owned this farm every since Gabe was little, and it's just the most beautiful getaway ever! (And now we only live about an hour from it!) Sarah invited us for the day for Annie to feed the goats (they liked to nibble), collect eggs, pick lavender, frolic in the river, and pick blueberries. Annie said a couple of really cute things in regards to the chickens. First she looked at them thoughtfully and said, "Hmmmm, they like to eat their milk." I had to correct her on that one, and finally asked her what chickens make. "I don't know," Annie replied. Hmmm, we've got to work on that. : ) When we got around to collecting eggs, Annie went right up to the next and used both hands to collect to eggs each! It was so funny to see such a small kid scoop eggs up like a pro! : ) After a wonderful day, what we weren't expecting was to have such a spectacular lunch and to take home lots of goat cheese! My favorite! (Yum!) It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place, no doubt blessed by God!

We feel so blessed to have this place to spend time in but it wouldn't be as wonderful if we couldn't share it so I am so glad that you were able to come. I can't wait for you to come again.
