One of the things we really wanted to do was have a picnic on the Great Salt Flats which we thought would look like it did in August a couple years ago when we visited. At that time the salt flats were completely dry with these strange crust formations all around making it super hard. But this time it was Spring and the salt was basically wet or in a strange flat hard sheet. So there was no picnic in Store for us, but a few years ago we did notice that people could drive on the salt flats and this time I did that! In fact, I did donuts and a figure 8 and I was very proud of that!
