Driving Crosscountry 2020 : The Pacific Ocean at Rockaway Beach Oregon

My very first time seeing the Pacific Ocean! And THIS is the very first picture! ...  There were definitely some surprises about this period 1st, both the air and the water were freezing cold. I think I was expecting it to be like Malibu in Southern California. It wasn't. Next, there were these little smooth black pebbles all over the beach. Embedded in the sand next, homeless people would camp on the beach at night. And people were allowed to have fires on the beach! It seemed to be a very popular activity in the evening time.

Feet in the Pacific: first time EVER!

And here the road is right next to the ocean!

The real reason it is called Rockaway Beach. Quite a famous rock formation!

 And here's an example of the homeless camping on the beach at night. You can't go to Oregon without seeing a lot of homeless. They definitely allow them to live there freely.
