Driving Crosscountry 2020 : The Redwood Forest

These photos do not do justice to the magnificence of the giant redwoods and sequoias of the Northwest. Such a beautiful feeling of being small next to them. In trying to put into words what it felt like to be among these ancient giants, ... I will say it felt like we were in the presence of wisdom.

Just thought I would take a picture of our huge moving truck next to these trees. The scale gives perspective!

I was absolutely mesmerized by the sight and touch of the ropey texture of the bark. I had never seen anything like it before!

And in route to the Pacific Ocean in Oregon, another angel in the sunset clouds. We would arrive at the hotel on Rockaway Beach VERY late, so pictures would have to wait until tomorrow.
