We met at one of Grandma's very favorite fish restaurants to surprise her. Lots of people were there: her children (except for Ree who we tragically lost some years ago in a car accident) Claire and Terry, her grandchildren Eric, Noelle, & David, and her great-grandchildren: Eric's Amanda/Justine/Joel, Noelle's Leia/Annie, and David's Marra/Amelia, and Matthew Dominic, plus spouses and some friends of the family. Grandma was SO surprised, ... that she didn't even realize what had happened. She wondered, "who that nice black man was who helped me down the steps." It was Eric, her grandson! Slowly, she realized that we were all there, ... and the reason WHY we were all there, ... and she was very happy! After dinner, it was back to Terry's and Rick's house for some special cake and gifts. Our gift to grandma was some picture magnets of us for her refrigerator, some very special pictures from the girls, and a few gift cards to Red Lobster, ... a favorite of both her's and grandpa's.
