One of our main reasons for driving to hilo on the other side of the island was to meet Shana's cousin crystal .she suggested we eat at the Kuhio grill which was famous for its 1 pound Laulau which I ate! It was really nice to meet her And her friend. The drive to hilo was also interesting because we drove from the dry side of the island to the wet side of the island and you could really tell. It was also really interesting to see the landscape change as soon as the lava gets old enough to support life these small red plants begin to grow and then small palms.
