More fun on Memorial Day Weekend

Another fun thing that happened on Memorial Day (not to mention Leia Rose showing off her toothless grin), : ) was that Mamma found thistles growing on the side of the road!!!! and Daddy was SUCH a dear to stop and let us pick one. We found out really quick that thistles really ARE very prickly and why "Twas the Night Before Christmas" refers to the reindeer by saying "and away they all flew like the down of a thistle." Anyway, REALLY fun teaching tool! : ) Leia Rose also got to perform her tap dance for everyone (even the Downs!) although she didn't have her shoes, of course. The second picture is my FAVORITE part of Leia's tap dance. SO expressive! And, yeah, the last picture is pretty silly to include, . . . but it was just such a sweet moment that I wanted to cherish. I caught Leia Rose going potty holding her "flag" that she made for Grandma and Grandpa last year. So sweet! : )
