Disneyland with April & Emily 2025: Disneyland Hotel

Even though the real reason why April wanted to attend to Disneyland at this time was the Resurgence of the Paint the Night parade, it also just so happened that it was the Disneyland 70th anniversary!
We stayed at the original Disneyland hotel and had a spectacular view from our room including the original Disneyland Hotel sign.
It also had the most magical night light ever. Near the bedside table lamp there was a small button that when you pressed it it played When You Wish Upon A star, and slowly lit up pinpoints of light as fireworks over the wood relief Sleeping Beauty Castle above the bed frames.
I will admit that the one ride I had no interest in writing was autopia which are the gas powered cars and tomorrowland, and they just so happened to have one that you could sit in in the Disneyland Hotel so Emily and I sat in it and took a picture. Perfect!
April had a spectacular parental hack of taking a picture of the expensive Mouse ears whenever Emily would want one, then she would put them right back on the shelf.
Emily learned how to swim at the Disneyland hotel! Now she can always tell people that! As usual, it's harder for parents to teach their own children to swim, but an aunt is a different story. By the end of the evening, Emily could swim all the way across the pool. Swimming in this pool was one of the unexpected highlights of the trip. They even had a slide shaped like the monorail.
