Galaxy's Edge from Star Wars was the only land that I felt guilt about for Brian not being there. Brian would love this land! The effects are absolutely unparalleled! It is supposed to be the land of Batu from one of the later Star Wars movies that is a rundown old Empire post that has now become a home for smugglers. First we went on Smugglers Run. You can see us sitting in the Millennium Falcon at the chess board from the movie! I really wanted to superimpose C3PO and chewbacca, but I was never able to get chat GPT to do that for me. In Smugglers Run you board the Millennium Falcon and participate in a run smuggling different products. I was not ready for the stress of this ride! It is a game where you have a particular job and you have to press buttons or move levers depending on what flashes in front of you. Emily chose to be the pilot, and I was the co-pilot, which meant I had to do both jobs! But we were able to smuggle one case, which wasn't too shabby. There were some really neat things about Galaxy's edge, like the life size ships from the Star Wars universe, the walkways all had bantha tracks and other Droid tracks embedded in them, and as we were sitting there eating at the Main Place April wanted to go to, ronto roasters, we saw that the meat was cheated by Pod racer engines! The main and newest event was rise of the resistance where you are captured and interrogated by the Empire to make you reveal where the rebel base is. It is a mixture of a ride and live action. And the best effect I have ever seen on a ride is when they open the bay doors and you are faced with hundreds of Storm Troopers pointing their blasters at you!
