Tomorrowland definitely had some exciting things that I had been looking forward to! First was the monorail which, different than the one at Disney World in florida, is open air! It used to go to the Disneyland hotel, but now really just travels around the park. It was really neat to go on the monorail and pass by New Orleans square and here the very Cajun music coming from Tiana's place. I also heard to make sure to take it past Tomorrowland so we could see the diorama of the Grand Canyon. When I first heard about this, it seemed really strange. But it really was like another ride! What it showed was the Grand Canyon today and then the Grand Canyon during the time of the dinosaurs complete with animatronics! Another thing I was really looking forward to was going on the matterhorn. Now, The Matterhorn was supposed to be closed during our visit, but we soon saw the ride in working order and we were able to go on it! The reason why I was excited about this particular ride is it was Oma and Papa's date ride when they were dating in California and first married. Walt Disney World does not have a matterhorn, only Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain which Disneyland also has. The Matterhorn goes very fast but you are supposed to find the yeti as you go by. We found it! Another strange thing about Tomorrowland in Disneyland is it is famous for its churros. Go figure! April had this as one of her goals for the trip as well, and it was the biggest, longest, and best tasting churro I had ever had! Finally we rode Nemo's submarine voyage, which took the place of 20,000 Leagues Under the sea. It was really neat to go on these submarines yet again as they no longer exist at Walt Disney World I am still amazed because I can't figure out how they did this ride. It was a combination of underwater scenes that were real and screens that contain the Finding Nemo characters. Things were so Blended together that I couldn't figure out how both existed at the same time.
