Annie's Evening

Yes, playing with mixing bowls is turing out to be one of Annie's favorite activities these days. Annie and I spent an hour just banging them with spoons, watching them spin, tapping them together, and biting on them. Come to think of it, these next couple of days are as close as Annie's going to get at being an only child, and I intend to enjoy every minute of it. No Baby Einstein for Annie. No idle time in the swing. We are going to play! We are going to read!

Then at dinner, Brian did his best to get Annie excited about Bill Cosby's "Picture Pages" from our youth. (We were talking about this because of the recent release of The Electric Comany on DVD.) Brian did the cool sound and action of the neat pen Bill used.

And he even sang the song with a big flourish at the end, . . .

But Annie remained unimpressed.

In fact, all Annie wanted to do was to hold my thumb, suck her own, and snuggle. : )
