Annie's First Trip to the Beach

Today was Annie's first trip to the beach, . . . and she LOVED it!!! (It was a really different experience than with Leia Rose who, on her first visit, didn't like the sand sticking to her or the saltiness of the water or the waves rushing upon her.) Annie's favorite activities: scooping up wet sand and handing it to me, walking into the waves and then back out onto the dry sand (again and again), throwing shells back into the ocean, and (by the end) wading out to where she almost couldn't stand (for goodness sake)! There was more than one dunk under that scared Mamm and Oma a bit, . . . but Annie loved it, of course. This child can already hold her breath!

Ironically, Annie thought that this shell (and every single other one that she found) belonged back in the ocean. So she threw them all back! Ha! (That was a reaction I didn't expect! We may have an environmentalist on our hands!) ; )

Mamma made the mistake of putting Annie in Leia's seat instead of her uncomfortable 5-point travel harness today. Hmmmm, not too comfortable if you fall asleep on the way back from the beach though, is it? And still, what a cutie!!!
