Settled in Our New Home

Welcome to our new home!!! Sorry it has taken so long to get this post up. I wanted to wait until our fireplace was done so that I could truly tidy up! : ) Um, except for the front yard with leaves covering our nice grass. (This is before Brian used the blower.) So when you pull up the driveway . . .
. . . onto the side drive and walk up past the side door . . .
. . . and past the beautiful winter mountain view all the way to the front door . . .
This is what you see! Welcome inside to our foyer (and you can see our cool housewarming gift from Brian's parents which I had always admired the one in their home: it's a cross hanging in the middle of a wood sculpture which, as it turns around just right, forms the Star of David. I love it!).
The family room.

The kitchen.
The dining room.
The master bedroom.

The master bath.
A very spacious master bedroom closet with great built-ins!
Yes, we took April's mural with us to the mountains! For it adorns both staircases. This one brings you down to the basement and first to . . .
The guest room.
And the guest bath.
The basement rec room. (There was one piece of crown molding that still needed to be put up, but I took the picture anyway.)
The treadmill & mudroom part of the basement.
And Brian's pride and joy: the unfinished basement room with the best heated attic storage EVER!!!
And here's the view as you first get upstairs and turn back around to, again, view some of April's wall mural. Make your immediate right and enter . . .
. . . what we now affectionately call The Book Nook.
The view from all the upstairs windows is phenomenal.
Here's Annie's Room.

The girls' bath.
And Leia's "Purple Kitty Room"!

Now back outside to the main floor porch (which goes 3/4 of the way around the house).
The basement "porch" which we use for garage storage (including my car).

The view from the basement porch.
The rear view of the house as we go on our hikes. : )

Well, we hope you like our home! Please come and visit soon! : )

How wonderful! The placement of Leia's bed in that wonderful nook of a window looks like the perfect place to watch the world from as she grows up. I just love it! Thank you so much for sharing, we all miss you so much and love to stay connected in this way.
love,
Sarah

Everything looks wonderful. I just love what you did with the mural pictures in the stair well. And it's so cool to have a 3 story house.

Love,
April
