Top of the Hill +

Leia Rose cried like a baby when she found out that Grandma and Grandpa were going to go to Top of the Hill (Grandpa's favorite Chapel Hill Restaurant & microbrewery) without Leia a couple of days ago, so I think Grandpa broke down and invited her on a different night. ; )

This was Annie's first time really coloring a children's menu. All she really wanted was the food, though. Big surprise. ; )
All though dinner, Leia Rose was watching this little girl sitting behind us. Both Leia and Annie were especially enamored because Emma had a little kitty lovey, too, whose name was "kitty." (Perri-Pat-Pat and Cherry-Chat-Chat accompanied us to the restaurant as well.) : ) At the end of the dinner we told Leia Rose that she could go and visit.

Today was also Leia's special "Grandma Day"! Grandma picked Leia up from school, met Grandpa at the conference for lunch, went to Kidzu (a children's museum), got ice cream, and played at Community Park. They had lots of fun together. My only concern was that Leia Rose wasn't being gracious in regards to the kids museum. Grandma paid for parking, walked to the museum, bought the tickets, entered with Leia, . . . and then Leia wanted to leave. You see, the last time she went to Kidzu, the theme was Mr. Rogers. I suppose she was expecting that. Instead, though, the theme was something to the effect of "castles & princesses." Leia said she was scared. And after this whole day of fun surprises, Leia was going to complain about this? Acting very ungrateful and spoiled, I would say. But, hey, as Grandma said, "She saved me $8!" At least the museum gave Grandma her money back. ; )
