Here are Miss Laurie and Trevor with the girls. Obviously we paid a semi-surprise visit to the McNeils today for two reasons. First, the twins are climbing all over everything, . . . so Miss Laurie wanted to know if she could borrow our Little Tykes Play Gym, seen above. Well, Brian liked nothing more than to get that out of our garage! : ) Second, Colin had a tragedy yesterday and we were there to help remedy it. Colin still has his adored two frogs Leia gave him for his First Communion. Well, yesterday, Laurie thought she was doing a great thing by putting them in a bowl in order to fully clean their little acquarium. Peter (Colin's most coveted frog) jumped out unbenownst to the whole family, . . . and even though the family scoured the whole area, they never found him . . . until today. Eric saw something that he thought was a toy in the far corner of his office, . . . fifty feet away from where the frogs were kept! Yep, it was a deceased Peter. Colin was heartbroken, . . . until he heard Leia offering her frog named Tat. ("I don't really want him anymore." Hmmm, . . . this doesn't exactly make me want to run out and get her the cat she wants, I'm afraid.) So, off Tat went to join Colin's household. Annie's frog? Well, I think he might be a new addition to the local pond.
And here's Colin very happily telling me a special secret: "I got to see
Haunted Mansion! But the part in the crypt was too scary!" You see, Colin thinks I'm the authority on horror movies. And, hey, I guess I am. : )
Is this an action shot of three boys playing together or what? : ) As Miss Laurie says, "Welcome to my world."
And even though "wild games" are usually saved for Daddy, Leia loved nothing more than joining in the wrestling fun, . . . especially with Colin.
Don't worry, Annie found lots to do as well. For example, she seemed to fall in love with this little guy. No matter what she would play with, she would always come back to him.
This pom pom was a favorite, too. And wasn't the book on the floor appropriate? Ha!
This is Father Joel, Mr. Eric's brother! (He looks a lot like Mr. Eric with a mustache.) Eric's parents were actually visiting this week, and they had brought their special book of their son and his new Catholic Cathedral in Texas. We've heard so much about this wonderful man. I needed to record him for the blog, . . . what a blessing to have a priest in the McNeil family! : )
