One of the first things Leia and I played today was "Dinosaur Ride." Not sure if you can see it, but every dinosaur here has a little kitty on its back.
Then our job was to take each kitty for a ride. Here is me giving Perry-Pat-Pat a ride on Tyrano. Leia took this picture (and did a pretty good job)! (Can't wait to get a new digital camera this week!)
And here is Leia Rose giving White Kitty a ride on Parasaurolaphus. Note that Qui Kitty is on the Stegasaurus in the background.
When Annie woke up from her nap, she joined in the game by biting on the Stegosaurus (much to Leia's chagrin).
Then we played with our wind-up ladybug which, I swear, is one of the best toys ever created. It's mostly metal and goes around in a spiral. Annie loves to try to catch it (and then bite it), and Leia Rose does too. It's a fun sister game.
At lunchtime, we all watched The Lion King together. Annie was mesmerized (she doesn't watch much TV at all), and then I realized that this was really Annie's first movie! She only made it a little while before it was time for her to nap again, but she enjoyed it while it lasted.
Now I need to mention a really precious game (although it is kind of a wild game) that Brian plays with Annie. It doesn't really have a name, but it's all about Daddy-Love. Basically he pretends to wildly bite/nibble on Annie's different appendages while he says their silly name. It goes like this.
"Turkey leg!" (nibbles thigh) "Doughnuts!" (nibbles tummy) . . .
"Hog jowels!" (nibbles lower cheek) "Dumplins!" (nibbles upper cheek)
Annie just loves it! : )
