Friday Morning

Last night Mamma stayed up very late to make all the toys in the family room totally safe for Annie, . . . so this morning she got to enjoy the fruits of it! Now she can play with anything down there! (By the way, our family room rule is as follows: If it's on the floor, it's fair game for Annie to play with. Want to play with something without Annie? Put it on a table or bring it to your room.)

Here's Leia Rose playing with Little Orphan Annie (and her swallow-able shoes) up in her room. Now all toys like this are in the bin system in Leia's closet.

Later, Leia Rose got her first real phone call from a friend! It was Shenandoah on the phone! Shenandoah and Leia Rose just chatted away for a long time, anticpating their visit this afternoon. They talked about the desserts they would have together and toys they would play with and some other fun outside games to play. Leia Rose really reminded me of Daddy during this phone call, . . . because she paced all around the room while she was talking! (Just what Brian does!) And I thought it was interesting and cute that she called Shenandoah "Shen" the whole time.

Later we had some time for "shooting stars" and "rainbow snow." For some reason, Leia and I came up with a silly song to sing while the snow comes down, "Throw the puffies! Puff! Puff! Through the puffies! Puff! Puff!"

There was even time for some "sister love" before Annie's first nap, . . .

But not before some "Aaaaaaaahhhh's". . .

. . . and not before Annie found a new, fun, interesting thing: the handles on my vanity drawers!
